About this place
At Iro Nishiki, one way to add something extra to a classic lunch set is to pair the fried-chicken set meal with a small sashimi dish. One diner who had ordered the set several times appreciated the chicken’s light, crisp coating and enjoyed the sashimi as a good match for rice. Another lunch guest described adding a small sashimi dish or a raw egg to the ginger-pork set, combining meat and fish with the several small sides that come with the meal. Other options include a daily set, grilled-fish set and sashimi set. If you are especially hungry, you can also get another serving of rice or add items such as spicy cod roe, grated yam or egg.
In the evening, the experience shifts from set meals to izakaya-style dining. Visitors have singled out the rolled omelette, sashimi and sushi. The menu also lists a course for 4,500 yen featuring an assortment of three kinds of sashimi, rolled omelette, assorted fried foods and Angus beef flap steak. One guest who came for a work gathering recalled that the generously sized fried cartilage and steak were popular with the group. The sake list includes Jikon and Hiroki, and the course finishes with a choice of sushi or udon.
Menus are available for both lunch and dinner, and the restaurant is described as suitable for solo diners as well as groups.
